Poetic or Pedantic? Part Three: The Wonder of Freedom

Posted in Poetry tagged , , at 8:32 am by Rebecca Hein

How often have you wished to be free in your writing? So free that your story flows out with no effort, and especially no need to stop and struggle for the right word?

The direct flow of ideas and images is like the subtle shapes and textures of clouds on the distant horizon. Your mind travels past individual objects, sees them differently, and your consciousness is deeper than it was.

This can happen at any time, but if you cultivate a sense of wonder, you’re more likely to easily float past your words and into pure, unimpeded expression.
